Capturing your world in photos? Create a ceramic piece? Photoshop photos? NewBridge offers FREE after-school programs for teens (9th – 12th graders) in a state of the art facility filled with the latest digital recording equipment, cameras, computers, and supplies. We provide fall, winter, spring, and summer semester sessions. Note: summer sessions include eight graders going into the 9th grade. Classes are offered at no cost to students, with no hidden costs or materials to buy.
Bus passes are provided, making it easy for student transportation.
Semester courses provide opportunities for students to share work with professionals, the community, and world through exhibits and performances.
Are you good with your hands and enjoy making new things? Not all art hangs on the wall. Our ceramics studio exposes students to construction, and design through pottery.
Make sculpture, bowls, and vases using different techniques ranging from hand building to slab construction to wheel throwing.
Have you ever wanted to capture the world from your perspective? Learn to use digital cameras and professional equipment, lighting, and photo editing to capture images that express your ideas, thoughts, and feelings. Students are introduced to cutting-edge software as well as different styles of photography that allow them to capture structure, intention, impression, and an array of artistic themes.
Are you interested in learning a creative process that combines art and technology to communicate ideas? Learn how to draw on a computer, create web designs, edit video as well as learn how to create and use animation for marketing materials, and products. In addition, you will learn how to use Adobe Creative Suite, and other professional software programs.
